In the 1980s, sailing the South Pacific islands was a much bigger adventure than it is today, when it still could be the voyage of one's life. So Steve Glenn took a Super 8 film camera along to preserve more of the time than just motionless pictures. His film is a silent one, as capturing the sound, too, was then very expensive.
Steve is not amongst us anymore. But Rosamund Seal, his nephew, felt the film should be preserved in the public memory. So she had it converted to a file, uploaded it to YouTube and granted permission to present it here. Watch works on deck, different sailing conditions, explore the sites and meet the locals with their different boats. It has half an hour, you can watch it here or on YouTube directly.
